After assuming management of social media, in addition to UI/UX responsibilities, I implemented several new approaches. One was the introduction of a brand ambassador program, given that a primary goal was growth of the community. Some potential partnerships had been established through previous connections while the rest were the result of an outreach campaign, consisting of social posts and email and vetted through online signup. The We Want You slogan was a natural fit for recruitment, from Uncle Sam to United Beauty Supply, replete with the Star Spangled Banner.
In taking ownership I drafted agreements outlining requirements and customized each contract based on the brand partner's strengths. Ambassadors received product compensation and notoriety in special customer communications (United Beauty Professionals landing page, The Pink Page email newsletter and The Pink Post on social platforms) in return for their efforts. The program has since spawned a series of livestreamed events, LIVE Installs on Location.
